How much do you like yourself?
Right at the center of our psychological make-up is self-esteem and the best definition of self-esteem is how much we like ourselves!
According to the Psychology of Selling, how much you like yourself is the key determinate on your performance in your effectiveness in what you do. A person who really likes themselves has a high positive self-concept and performs well in the sales area, but a person who feels badly about themselves it performance poorly in that particular area. How much you like yourself determinates your effectiveness and your success in life. It is a indicator about your success, achievement and satisfaction, how much you like yourself overall and how much you like yourself in each individual area.
We know that if we repeat over and over to ourselves “I like myself” the self-concept goes up. The more you like yourself the better you perform in everything that you do.

When we make a sale we feel more confident, we feel good about ourselves, persuasive and effective at that moment that any other time. It is not the client, not the market or luck, is you making a difference , because you felt good about yourself.
Success brings success! The more you sale the better you become at selling because your self-concept went higher and higher and nothing can´t stop you if you are doing it long enough and hard enough until you begin to enjoy success experiences.
If you like yourself, then your self-concept gets up to the point where you know you can make the living in sales wherever you go!
Say it with emotion as an instruction, I like myself!! Over and Over, specially before making a sale, close a deal, see a client, etc. Be always consistent! The subconscious will give you the words, the actions and feelings.
Just as Brian Tracy says, “The key element in selling is enthusiasm” it is a transfer of emotions about your product or service into the mind and the heart of the other person, it is a transfer of your emotions and commitments and believes.
Liking yourself an being enthusiasm come together, you can´t have one without the other! Can you?
The more you like yourself steem , the more enthusiastic you are about your product, the easier it is for you to sell !
When we feel like winners
Every time we close a sale we feel like we have won, our self esteem goes up and our ability to perform and effectiveness goes up! Who hasn´t been feeling like that?
The reason why so many people fail in sales is simply this; they do not stay long enough and they don´t work hard enough to get those first few winning experiences that raise our self esteem and self-concept that set them off to a successful career in selling. They don´t stay enought, they don´t have those experiences, so they quit.
